Our house manager, Ely, has truly exceeded our expectations. Her attention to detail, proactive approach, and excellent communication skills have made our living experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. Ely’s commitment to ensuring the home is well-maintained and our needs are met reflects her professionalism and dedication. We feel fortunate to have such a competent and friendly house manager. Highly recommended!

My visit to the property left a negative impression from the start. Upon entering, two ladies at the desk appeared unfriendly. When I inquired about seating, they merely glared. I didn’t know if they wanted me to sit in the lobby or at their desk. Elizabeth motioned for us to sit at her desk, but the interaction continued poorly. She requested my ID and took picture of it before confirming they had what I needed or even simply telling me her name. When I asked for her name, Elizabeth responded curtly and handed me an iPad to input my information. (But these are the same people to charge you a $250 admin fee) Confusion arose regarding a marketing form, met with rudeness. Dissatisfied, I visited the neighboring townhomes, where Chris provided a pleasant experience without the need for self-input. My purpose was solely to gather information, I didn’t want to take a tour so I wonder why she felt the need to treat us so poorly. It is 2024 you never know who you are entertaining! DO BETTER!!!!

Loved living here for the past two years! Pros: - Great staff response times for maintenance and rent questions. In general, each interaction I had was very nice, and the manager Chris is awesome! For a while, there was an office member who continuously gave me an attitude, but I do not see him around anymore, so no reason to dock this review for it! - Apartments are clean, very up to date, and spacious, given the price. The ceiling are very tall, and the general layouts feel spacious and modern. - Amenities are good. The gym works in a pinch, and the pool is not big but certainly decent enough for social swimming. Parking is also nicely accommodating, and the valet trash is nice to have. There is also a HUGE dog park area so if you have a furry friend, you can let them stretch their legs and run off leash in there! - Located in a quiet area, and the nearby trails are beautiful. Access to HEB grocery is also very nice, along with a bunch of okay restaurants and convenience stores across the street. Cons: - Access to I-45 can be annoyingly hindered by morning traffic. There’s really only two ways to get on the interstate, and the traffic can easily clog up. Not the complex’s fault but something to keep in mind. - Sprinklers like to go overboard when watering the grass and I seem to always have overspray and hard water spots on my car most mornings. Not a fan, since I like to keep my car very clean. - Gates are not that fast and can be annoying to open. Overall, it’s a great community that I can recommend!

Would not have bothered to leave this review if not for the experience I just had. Had nothing bad to say and praised the staff while I was there. Left in July 23, made sure I did everything I was responsible for. I was told everything would be reviewed and i would be sent a bill if anything was owed. Found my other key brought it back, no problems. They even called me twice to let me know I had a package come there. At no time had received a notice anything was owed. I diligently checked the mail for the following 2 months because I was told it could take up to 60 days, no bill. Thought I was good and moved on. Fast forward to end of January 24 a full 7 months later, I get a collections notice in the mail. I call trying find out what's it's about and was told my bill was sent via email and through resident portal. I asked why was it sent that way, " that's how we do it sir. You were advised when you left to check your email and to check resident portal for up to 60 days." Only problem is I wasn't told that, I was told it would be sent to me, leading me to believe by mail. Furthermore, I just did a search in my email and found nothing from berkshire jones forest in my email dating back to last july. I don't even have their app anymore because I figured my access would have ended when I left. I pay what I owe, I just needed it effectively communicated. I won't be petty and negate my whole experience while I was there, because I had previously left them a good review. I just hate how things change when you leave. All friendly while you are there, 1 or 2 even knew me by name, but when you leave its "well sir this and sir that" and just a cold as hell, you aren't one of us anymore tone. I'd have previously gone back to one of their properties, but no longer. I don't understand how you can be courteous enough to call when I have a package but not a , "hey by the way, we show you still have a a balance," no just send it to collections 6-7 months later, and what happened to the 60 days, just disappointing to have it end that way.
